We enjoyed a lovely New Year's dinner with a fantastic set menu that was both delicious and well-priced, and we were lucky enough to meet the lovely owners who made us feel so welcome. The garden area was perfect for relaxing, and we also loved the cozy courtyard for sipping drinks. Just a heads up, there were some noisy kids in the bar that made it hard to unwind, but it didn't ruin our stay overall. 🎉

The Carre Arms Hotel had a warm, friendly atmosphere. The staff welcomed me with a smile, and that made a great first impression. My room was clean and cozy, complete with tea and coffee facilities. I appreciated the nice biscuits in the room too. it felt like a special touch. Enjoyed the delicious breakfast, especially the poached eggs on toast, which were cooked perfectly. the external lights outside my window disturbed my sleep. I hoped they'd turn off when the bar closed, but they didn’t. It felt like daylight shining through the curtains all night. The noise from the nearby railway was also noticeable, especially during the night. Despite these issues, the ambiance and well-presented meals made it a pleasant stay overall.

Cozy stay with great food!
We had a king size room with loads of space, and the bed was super comfy. Connor at the bar was a legend! He served us some fab drinks and was really friendly. The food in the restaurant was delish, especially the pork fillet. Just wish the train noise wasn’t there, but it didn’t ruin our vibe.
